This is a special private lesson specifically addressing the challenges parents-to-be or new parents face in anticipation of their new family member – a baby. If your dog is use to being the only “baby” in the house, this class will help you make the introduction of your newest addition a smooth and stress-free one. Course covers such things as setting appropriate boundaries, how to make the proper introductions with the new baby, introducing the stroller on walks, desensitizing your dog to the new sounds and smells, and much more. The DVD “Parenting Your Pack-How to Prepare Your Dog Before and After Baby Arrives” and instructional booklets included in price of class.
Taming the Inner Beast "Aggression Problems" $250.00
Many times owners will have dogs that have problems with aggression (whether it is dog to dog aggression or dog to human aggression) and the last thing they want to do is enroll their dog into a group class. This class is designed specifically for the aggressive dog and their owners. All dogs are naturally pack animals and whether it is their litter or their human family they will consider it their pack. Many times behavior problems stem from lack of leadership in their pack, lack of consistency by their owners or lack of socialization or many times all three!). We have created a six week program that combines both Private Instruction with small group instruction. Here's what it will look like:
1st Week (30 minutes) - Private instruction with Owners Only (do not bring your dog to the first class). We will go through how to use the "Power of the Pack" to your advantage and gaining respect by establishing yourself as the leader of your "Pack." We will focus on easy things you can start doing today to start regaining your position. We will also go over proper training equipment that is a must when dealing with an aggressive dog.
Weeks 2 - 4 (45 minutes each) - Private Instruction with Both Dog Owner and Dog. We will focus on working with you and your dog individually, teaching you the basic commands and walking nice on a leash. We will also go over techniques to use when dealing with the aggressive dog.
Weeks 5 - 6 (30 minutes each) - Working with a Well Behaved Dog. You and your dog will work on training with a trained dog used as a distraction along with an instuctor.
